Open Weeks 5 - Irish Golf

Enniscorthy's short par four 16th
Three more clubs with upcoming or ongoing Open Weeks/Events:
Enniscorthy in Co. Wexford - one of the nicest and friendliest country courses I've played.
Galway Bay in Co. Galway - a Christy O'Connor Jnr designed course that takes you right down to the water. It's stark, windswept and rather beautiful.
Rosapenna in Co. Donegal - a superb resort with two links courses, one designed by Pat Ruddy (Sandy Hills) and the other an intriguing mix of Old Tom Morris and Mr Ruddy again (Old Tom Morris).

Enniscorthy

Open Week runs through to Thursday 9th August, with a wide selection of events and green fees ranging from €15 to €20.

Galway Bay

July 26th to August 9th - the club is running an Open Stableford Singles every day.
€25 online or €30 through the Office (+353 91 790711 ).

Rosapenna

The Open Week runs from Friday 9th August to Sunday 18th August and plays over both of these excellent links. If you don't already know, Sandy Hills is the big course and, by my reckoning, the toughest course (as well as one of the most beautiful) in the country. I imagine for Open Week the tees will be well forward.

Green fees are exceptional value - at €30 for visitors - with events ranging from Singles and Fourball Stableford to Singles and Fourball Strokes (on the Old Tom Morris you'll be glad to hear).
