A Great Golfing Read - Golf World & Carne

Views over the Kilmore nine 6th green
The new issue of Golf World is out (September), with Adam Scott winding it up on the front cover.

My first major golf article appears towards the back - a six page spread on my beloved Carne. It was an honour and a pleasure to write it - thanks to Golf World for giving me the opportunity... and thanks to Carne for giving me the inspiration.

So, what else is inside...

The focus of Golf World this month is on the US PGA at Valhalla, with some 24 pages dedicated to the final Major of the year. There's a six page reprise of Rory's victory at Hoylake, and a three page analysis on whether or not Royal Portrush is ready to host its own Open Championship. It tackles nine separate challenges facing the club in the years ahead - it is fascinating to read.

There's a profile on three of the hottest Stars of The Future... though sadly the Greystones superstar, Paul Dunne, isn't included. And then there's an article focusing on the perfect swing of Adam Scott.

Of course there are the usual equipment reviews and travel destinations... but I'd suggest that you throw your clubs in the boot and head to Belmullet... now... today. Experience Carne in all its glory... or just turn to page 108 and get a taste for one of the greatest experiences in Irish golf.
