Roganstown Golf and Country Club are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager. Only a mild coincidence that I played with a Roganstown member at Bunclody a week ago and my background is Marketing.


Roganstown is a resort-type affair with a hotel and a big Christy O'Connor designed course wrapped around it. The course is mostly flat, with water features galore and plenty of Christy's trademark mounding.

Job Description

Develop annual marketing plan and work with MD and finance to set targets and budgets and take responsibility for all marketing activities in all areas of the business.

Target new business opportunities.

Build and maintain existing relationships.

Develop and maintain segmented contact and customer databases.


Develop and promote product image and awareness by direct mail campaigns and attendance of key travel and tourism tradeshows.
 Prepare sales proposals to clients incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions.


Establish an effective sales call cycle for key customers, partners and contacts.

Maintain a clear line of communication on sales commitments to Hotel Operations.

Maintain and allocate marketing budget to drive opportunities
.

Develop and maintain a concise and clear report suite for the business and chair regular meetings with MD and operations staff to develop and manage sales initiatives.


Work to achieve agreed goals and objectives.

Desired Skills and Experience

A minimum of four years' hotel sales experience and an excellent network of contacts are required to succeed in this position.
 
Commitment to exceeding guest expectations.


Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.


Superior written and oral communication skills.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self.
