Destination Golf Issue 24 - IAGTO Awards, Portugal, Mission Hills, Cambodia and Jamaica

Destination Golf (DG) has had a busy and booming time of late. Issue 24 sees the end of DG's second year, during which it has attracted audiences from around the world.

This month's issue includes Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans... and our own Dermot Synott - all in attendance at the star-studded Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Am. Loads of photos and the golf looks fairly tasty, too.

Mission Hills is a serious set-up. There are 22 courses designed by the biggest names in today's game and these are spread across two resorts, each slowly developing into something resembling an entire city... it's a scary thought when you live in a country as small as ours. Issue 23, in its entirety, was devoted to this behemoth of golf.

The IAGTO awards, held in Italy, gave a big thumbs up to golf on Ireland's east coast, with the Dublin East Coast Golf Alliance to the fore (no pun intended). The Alliance brings together The Island, Carton House x 2, The K Club x 2, Powerscourt x 2 and both Druid's Glen and Druid's Heath. It's a novel idea that's been running for a few years, combining nine prestigious courses... but the price of €499 makes it a tough sell in the current market.

The enchanting 8th at Druid's Glen
Do you fancy golf in Jamaica (page 24-33)? Or Cambodia (page 52-57)? The golf courses look amazing and whether such a trip is a reality or not, it doesn't hurt to look at the photos, does it!

Read all of these stories here or just graze over Destination Golf's photographs. It always whets the appetite.
