Beech Park - Free Golf Taster

A golf club hosting a 'Free' Open Day to attract new members is not something you encounter very often, but Beech Park Golf Club has decided to open up its course this coming Friday (Oct 4th) in a bid to attract new members to the club.

Established in 1983, this is a member's club and it's a tree-lined peach - it is in Dublin too (Rathcoole), making it easily accessible off the N7, just 10 minutes from Newlands Cross.

The picture below is a good representation of what you'll encounter here - big trees, lush fairways and excellent greens. They also boast their own 'Amen Corner', of which the 12th is one of the holes. It is a very enjoyable course and maintained exceptionally well - in other words you'll never leave disappointed!

Termed a 'membership development day' tee times available are 8:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30. There are bound to be a few golfers who will see this as nothing more than an opportunity to doss off work and enjoy a free round of golf, but the club is serious about attracting new members and it's a brave step forward.

Membership Rates at Beech Park GC

The membership they will be offering in Friday is the next 15 months for the price of next year's membership fee (ie 15 for the price of 12). The price is €1,274 for full membership (€50 for the bar), which can be paid in 10 monthly instalments. Six day is €1,100 and five day is €894.

For more details, contact the club on 01 458 0522 or email info@beechpark.ie. Their website is pretty comprehensive too, although not many photographs. If you want to see those (taken by me on a dull day), click here.
