Well, opportunities like this don't come along every day. I have to confess it's something I've thought about doing myself (not at Lahinch), but it seems to be a thankless task. You're never going to keep all the members happy are you, and from what I've heard, you don't get to play much golf either. And what's the point of working at a golf club if you don't get to play.

Kevin - excellent blog and I'll be buying the book sometime. If you've not read it yet, try tom Coyne's "A Course called Ireland." You might want to follow my own blog www.scottishgolfcourses-allofthem.blogspot.com, as I'm 387 courses into playing all 625 of the Scottish courses. I've only played 20 or so of the Irish ones and we're over in a few weeks to play some more. cheers Alan McPherson
